Machine Sand Mixer: Sand conditioner, machine, sand mill operator, sand-system operator Operates machine to mix or recondition molding sand: Weighs out specified amounts of ingredients, for example sand, sea coal, and bonding agents, and shovels them into machine or automatic hopper. Sets dials for specified amounts of water, core oil, and other ingredients that are automatically measured and fed into machine. Turns dials to time mixing cycle of machine. Removes sample of sand and feels sand for consistency. Adjusts controls and adds ingredients to vary mixture according to sampling. May also be designated according to purpose for which sand is to be used as Sand-Mill Operator, Core-Sand (foundry), Sand-Mill Operator, Facing-Sand (foundry), Sand-Mill Operator, Molding-Sand (foundry).
