Details location and sequence of cutting, drilling, bending, rolling, punching, and welding operations, using instruments, for example compass, protractor, dividers, and rule. Marks curves, lines, holes, dimensions, and welding symbols onto workpiece, using scribes, soapstone, and punches. May also design and make templates of wood, paper, or metal [TEMPLATE MAKER (industry)]. May also fit and align fabricated parts for welding or assembly operations [FITTER (industry) II].
