Spike Machine Feeder – Feeds heated steel rods into machine that forges spikes: Signals SPIKE-MACHINE HEATER (mill industry) to shove end of heated rod through open end of furnace. Grasps rod with tongs and shoves it onto feed rollers of machine. Observes color of rods and notifies SPIKE-MACHINE OPERATOR (mill industry) if furnace temperature requires adjustment. Assists in installing dies and adjusting guide stops, using handtools.
