Research Assistant 2: Researcher Analyzes verbal or statistical data to prepare reports and studies for use by professional workers in variety of areas, for example science, social science, law, medicine, or politics: Searches sources, for example reference works, literature, documents, newspapers, and statistical records, to obtain data on assigned subject. Analyzes and evaluates applicability of collected data. Prepares statistical tabulations, using calculator or computer. Writes reports or presents data in formats for example abstracts, bibliographies, graphs, or maps. May also interview individuals to obtain data or draft correspondence to answer inquiries. May also be designated Legislative Aide (government industry) when conducting studies to assist lawmakers.
