Hotel Clerk: Motel clerk, motor-lodge clerk Performs any combination of following duties for guests of hotel or motel: Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests. May also make restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservation, and arrange for tours. May also deposit guests’ valuables in hotel safe or safe-deposit box. May also order complimentary flowers or champagne for guests. May also rent dock space at marina-hotel. May also work on one floor and be designated Floor Clerk (restaurant industry).
